Rollover crash after driver falls asleep in Westminster

WESTMINSTER — A 23-year-old woman flipped her 2008 Honda Fit after falling asleep at the wheel in Westminster, Saturday afternoon.

Police responded to the single-vehicle rollover on I-91 south at approximately 2:54 p.m.

According to the police report, Zoe Vesley-Gross, 23, from Hanover, New Hampshire, was traveling near mile marker 28, when she fell asleep and drifted off the road and into the median.

Police said the vehicle continued towards the middle of the median before turning sharply back to the right, causing the vehicle to roll.

The Honda was totaled in the accident.

Vesley-Gross was wearing her seatbelt and suffered only minor, non-life threatening injuries, police say.

She was transported to the Springfield Hospital ER for treatment.
