Two vehicle accident closed down Main Street in Brattleboro

BRATTLEBORO – A two-vehicle collision in Brattleboro closed down Main Street for close to an hour on Monday.

Police, Brattleboro Fire Department, and Rescue Inc. responded to the accident on Main Street, near High Street at approximately 3:07 p.m.

According to the report, as Subaru Crosstrek collided with a Volkswagen Jetta when the Jetta attempted to make a turn into a Main Street parking lot.

Police identified the driver of the Subaru as 19-year-old Austin Kenney of South Newfane and the operator of the Volkswagen as 31-year-old Nicholas Poplawski of Brattleboro.

Police say ems personnel treated a juvenile occupant on scene for minor injuries, but no passengers were transferred to a hospital.

Southbound Main Street was closed from High Street to Grove Street between 3:09 p.m. till 3:58 p.m.
