ROCKINGHAM – A 26-year-old man was arrested in Rockingham for suspicion of DUI and having an active arrest warrant, early Saturday morning.
Police say they conducted a traffic stop on a 1997 Acura Legend on Vermont Route 103, in the Town of Rockingham, at around 2:22 a.m.
During the stop, police learned that the driver, Nicholas J. Lawlor, 26, from Dorchester, New Hampshire, had an active arrest warrant in the state of Vermont.
Police say Lawlor was driving on a suspended Vermont driver’s license and it was determined that he was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Police say he refused to provide a preliminary breath sample but performed the standard field sobriety tests.
Lawlor was arrested and processed for DUI and was transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility where he was held for lack of $250 bail.
He was issued a citation to appear in Windham County Superior Criminal Court.
