Man crashed SUV into Irving Gas Station and fled the scene in Dummerston

DUMMERSTON – Police are looking for a man who crashed a Jeep Grand Cherokee into the Irving Gas Station building then fled the scene on foot on Tuesday.

Police responded to the single-vehicle accident at the Irving Gas Station on Route 30 at approximately 7:53 p.m.

According to the report, a 2010 Gray Jeep Grand Cherokee, registered to Debra and Morgan Powers, smashed into the gas station building, and the driver fled southbound on foot down Route 30.

Witnesses described the driver to the police as a skinny Caucasian male, approximately 6 foot 1 inch tall. He was wearing a tank top, jeans, with no facial hair and a shaved head.

The man was also described to have tattoos on both arms.

Police are requesting anyone with information about the driver involved in this hit and run to contact Trooper Roel Diaz.
