70-year-old motorcyclist injured after crash in Jamaica

JAMAICA — A 70-year-old motorcyclist was injured in a crash that took place in Jamaica yesterday evening.

Police say at approximately 6:01 p.m. they responded to a motorcycle accident on Vermont Route 100 South.

When they arrived, troopers learned the operator, Klavs Landberg, 70, of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, had been transported by Rescue Inc. to Grace Cottage Hospital for a possible collarbone injury.

Landberg got distracted by his GPS and his motorcycle got caught on the gravel portion of the road, police say.

As a result, the motorcycle hit a mailbox and subsequently ended up in a ditch.

The motorcycle was towed by Scott Brooks Towing and Jamaica Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Police say Landberg suffered minor abrasions to the nose and a possible broken collarbone.
