Police search for Florida man who went missing while traveling to Jamaica

KILLINGTON — A 72-year-old man from Florida who was headed to Jamaica to visit a friend, has been listed as a missing person by police.

Police are attempting to locate Eugene Mason, 72, of St. Augustine, Florida, who was last seen at the Killington Fire Station on Tuesday, at around 9 a.m.

Mason left his residence on the morning of July 11, 2016, and was traveling to Jamaica to visit a friend.

On the morning of July 12, he stopped at the Killington Fire Department to ask for directions to his friend’s home and has not been seen or heard from since.

Police say Mason is a diabetic and unfamiliar with the area.

Mason is reportedly operating a tan 2002 Chevrolet Silverado truck bearing FL registration “CRCG80.”

Mason has been entered into NCIC as a missing person.
